Bayern Munich have reportedly put as many as eight players up for sale this summer as they aim to seal a move for Liverpool forward Sadio Mane.

The Senegalese forward has indicated a desire to depart Anfield this summer with Bayern Munich having expressed their interest in signing him as they attempt to find a replacement for the outgoing Robert Lewandowski. So far, the German giants have stumbled into a number of problems in negotiations .

Their first bid was rejected out of hand by the Reds, whilst their second offer was also batted away by the Merseyside outfit – a number of unrealistic add-ons not exactly tempting Liverpool into a sale. However, Bayern may well have no shortage of funds for a move as they look to offload several fringe players.

According to Bild, the Bavarian giants are open to selling up to eight first-team players this summer should they receive acceptable offers. Young stars Omar Richards, Joshua Zirkzee, Christian Früchtl, Christopher Scott and Sarpreet Singh are all among those who could leave.

Meanwhile, Spanish midfielder Marc Roca could also potentially be set to leave having struggled to establish himself at the Allianz Arena following his arrival from Espanyol two seasons ago. Another shock departure could potentially be that of Austrian midfielder Marcel Sabitzer.

The 28-year-old only arrived at Bayern last summer having impressed hugely during a stint with RB Leipzig. He previously captained the Bundesliga outfit before joining Bayern less than 12 months ago. Sabitzer has not been able to continue his impressive performances at the Allianz Arena having made just nine starts in all competitions for the Bundesliga champions.

It remains to be seen how much Bayern will be able to earn should they manage to sell each of the eight players throughout the summer window. They could be set to receive a considerable amount they should agree to let Lewandowski leave though.
