Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino scored in the second half as Liverpool beat Arsenal 2-0 at the Emirates stadium on Wednesday night.
Though the first half ended goalless, Jurgen Klopp’s side came in and scored two goals in eight minutes of the second half thanks to goals from Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino.
The win takes Liverpool within a single point of rivals Manchester City in the English Premier League title race, while Arsenal still remain in control of the fourth position.
Meanwhile, in the other game, Harry Kane scored his record 95th English Premier League goal as Tottenham Hotspur’s beat Brighton & Hove Albion 2-0.
After Cristian Romero had put Spurs in front before the break, Kane entered the record books just before the hour by scoring his 95th goal away from home – more than any other player.
