Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa has promised that Nigeria would play quality and entertaining football when they square off against Sao Tome and Principe in their second match of the 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Nigeria won their opening fixture of the Qualifiers with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Sierra Leone at the Moshood Abiola Stadium.

However, the quality of play was not quite impressive. The pitch did not help matters as it looked far from what a football pitch was supposed to look like.

The Super Eagles will file out for their second game against Sao Tome and Principe today.

However, this time, they would play on a quality surface at the Stade Adrar in Morocco, one of the top stadiums on the continent.

Musa believes that with a quality playing surface, Nigeria would offer something better.

Musa said at the pre-match presser as per Victor Modo:

We want to win against Sao Tome and Principe.

But definitely we have to play good football like the coach always wants. And as you can see, we have a very good pitch here(Agadir), so you will see a very different Super Eagles.

Nigeria are massive favorites going into the tie, and they would look to claim their second victory against a Sao Tome and Principe side that conceded five against Guinea Bissau.
