Maduka Okoye has been ruled out of the Super Eagles’ upcoming games against Mexico, Ecuador in the United States and the 2023 AFCON qualifiers.
According to reports, the Watford goalkeeper has pulled out pf the games due to a shoulder injury.
Nigerian sports journalist Sulaiman Folarin said the player pulled out due to a shoulder injury as he has been playing with the injury since the 8th of April.
Folarin tweeted that doctors agreed that Okoye has to undergo rehabilitation in order to be ready for next season.

The former Fortuna Düsseldorf goalkeeper was also ruled out of Nigeria’s two-legged World Cup qualifier against Ghana in March. He was reported to have contracted COVID-19 at the time.
