Napoli have confirmed the signing of Giovanni Simeone from Hellas Verona.

The Argentinean striker has joined the Partenopei on an initial loan deal with an obligation to buy if Luciano Spalletti’s men qualify for the UEFA Champions League this season.
Simeone will replace Dries Mertens, who left the Stadio Maradona at the end of his contract in June.
The former Fiorentina and Cagliari striker scored 17 goals in 35 Serie A games last season.
