Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Wolverhampton Wanderers star Pedro Neto.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has made no secret of his desire to bring in at least one more player before the window closes on September 1 and it’s believed his main target is Neto, who has previously admitted to being a boyhood Arsenal fan.
According to The Athletic, Neto is Arsenal’s ‘top target’.
The report claimed that talks between the Gunners and super agent Jorge Mendes, who represents several Wolves players and Cristiano Ronaldo, have been going on for more than a month – but Wolves want to keep the 22-year-old Portuguese winger.
Yet Arsenal are hopeful of breaking through and landing their new number one target before the summer deadline.
The Gunners have already brought in Gabriel Jesus, Matt Turner, Marquinhos, Fabio Vieira and Oleksandr Zinchenko this summer.
And They’ve won all three of their English Premier League fixtures against Crystal Palace, Leicester and Bournemouth.
